In three weeks we will go from idea to really-out-there and you will do it all: make the product, write and direct the advertising, film the commercial, and watch your fellow campers (and anyone else you can think of) line up to buy it–  and you will keep the profits!

Along the way you will learn how an advertising agency really works, analyze commercials you love and love to hate, figure out what works and what doesn’t, and find out if you have what it takes to make it in the cut-throat world that is the $300 billion dollar advertising industry.

Instructor: Lisa Mayer.

Lisa Mayer is a CLIO-award winning creative director and copywriter, formerly with Ogilvy and DDB– the hottest shops on Madison Avenue, who for fifteen years worked on everything from American Express to Hershey’s to Hasbro to Volkswagen.  Lisa has taught advertising at the School of Visual Arts and to young people at various schools and camps including The Challenge Camp in Tuckahoe, NY.
